September 2009 Bella has an amazing little personality. She is a sweet and playful girl, most of the time...however she has her moments when she can be very obstinate :) But I'm loving her. She is truly my little companion and adopting her is the best thing I could have done! Lindsey
September 2009 Odessa is doing great. All the humans in the house love her and have been having lots of fun with her. The cats are slowly getting more curious and coming out of hiding. Speaking of hiding...

June 2010 We picked up Oscar--the pup previously known as Alphie (aka Awesome)--11 days ago from his wonderful, loving foster family in Ohio. (Thanks to Judy and Gerrry for everything!) When we first met, he was a little shy. Every day since then we've seen more of his personality emerge. After just a week, he was wagging his tail and following us around the house. We love little Oscar!

August 2010 It has been a great two days since returning home with Duey. It is amazing to me what a great dog he is already. One more puppy now living life in the manner to which they deserve to become accustomed.

September 2010 Kiwi is doing great! She is happy and has a terrific appetite. We also rescued Lizzie (formerly Holland) in February 2009. Kiwi is a good fit with the family. We’re really enjoying having her. Phyllis
August 2010 We love Lola more and more every day. We can't believe how perfect she is for us - it's like we were made for each other.

September 2010 We have Daisy (Brandy Alexander), the puppy and soon will collect Bailey the mom! Daisy is an absolute delight!
Day1-With Bailey...this is a new dog! Bailey slept like a log, she walked Eloise to the bus stop this morning (even greeted 3 friends of Eloise's pretty happily...they were very gentle and patient) and has PLAYED all morning with Daisy.
( Mother and daughter adopted together!)
Oct. 2010
Lucy is lots of fun. Murphy is very patient with her. He is playing more than he has in years. They walk on leash great together. Lorie (Another of Bailey's pups)
Oct. 2010 Molina is so full of personality! The kids LOVE her! Cooper the dog is warming up to her and even seems to be a little protective of her as he sleeps next to her crate at night and by the chair if she is in someone's lap. She enjoys chasing leaves in the yard and laying in the grass and dragging her belly with her front legs through the grass. Lastly we have learned that she is a little laundry thief! She loves to jump into the piles of clothes and really loves to steal folded underpants and rolled up socks. She's being labeled the panty thief!
Thanks again for allowing us to be her forever family!
Warmly,
Connie

With appreciation for all you do for these precious puppies,

Nov. 2010 ...quick update to say that Lilli fits in so well that we can't imagine not having her. She's small but curious and intrepid and absolutely loves being outside. Her big sister thinks she's pretty cool too. Anyway, thanks again for making this possible for us -- and for all you do!
Yours, Laura

August 2009 We adopted a male Havanese puppy named Kirk (renamed Desi) who was being fostered in Cleveland (by Judy), We have now had Desi for about 11 weeks. Desi was clearly not very comfortable with people when we got him, but has made great progress. He is still shy with us, but is getting better all of the time. He loves our other two dogs, and they have helped to integrate him into our pack. We continue to love and support Desi, and are happy to see him becoming more "normal" with each passing
week. Thanks for all the good work that you do.

December 2008 We are bragging today because on Friday both of us passed our Canine Good Citizen Test. Can you believe, shy me? Mom is so proud of us and we have been getting some special treats because we have worked to hard. Me, Maui, says a special thank you for taking care of me while waiting for my forever home. I really like it here and Macie plays with me a lot now that she figured out that I am here to stay. She even misses me when mom takes me to Florida and she stays home with Ticum and Dad.
Love,
Maui, Macie and of course Mom,Dad and Ticum
November 2008 WE are so thankful for people like you who put so much time and effort into rescuing these little pups!! We are very thankful for our Sammy

Dec. 2010 First, I have to say what an awesome dog that we have rescued from you. Gracie May McHugh (AKA Fig of Detroit) is a wonderful addition to our family. Kayleigh, our daughter, has been a wonderful mother and trainer for this very smart puppy. Sincerely, Robin
Dec. 2010 Happy Holidays! We hope you are doing well! We wanted to give you an update about our sweet girl Lexie! She is a wonderful member of our family! We wish you well and thank you for our beautiful, sweet and happy puppy! Amy
Dec. 2010 Just wanted to check in on the year anniversary of when we picked up Sofie, on that cold day last December. She was such a little (5 pound) waif when we took her, so shy and overwhelmed with everything. Now she is wonderfully friendly with people, including little kids--we have yet to see her growl or show any aggression with anyone, which is such a gift! Keep up the good work with the Havanese. Margaret & Dan
Jan.2011 This is a recent picture of Dash (Clove). He's doing great! He's very very smart.
He can sit, stay, lay down, roll over, sit pretty, give paw, and rings
the bell to go outside.
He's still feisty and the "girls" are having fun with him.
He's laying right next to our 4 year old Schnoodle, Daisy. Bill & Nancy Elmore
Dec. 2010 Mr. Hobbes (aka Guy) is getting settled into our home here in Md. He's doing well with the transition.
Still working on the house training but he's getting there. I'm happy to say he is a great fit for me and
my lifestyle here and has made a few friends in the neighborhood. Austin
Jan.2011 Boo (aka Georgie)! He is a great puppy! Very friendly and playful, and not destructive (with the exception of one little rug). We are adjusting to puppy parent life pretty well I think.Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to grow!!
Kindest regards,
Julie
