We are doing fine and so pleased with the progress both Maui and Macie have made. Maui is getting braver by the day. This morning he ate his breakfast out of my hand and took turns with Macie. I gave each one a piece using their name and took turns sometimes giving one more pieces in a row than the other and they were excellent at my game. Macie (formerly known as Erik) has decided that he can be fun to play with and they are really fun to watch, Maui actually took her toy from her this morning and she let him! He is more agile than she is so that is new for us. He throws his toy in the air and then jumps for it, that is something she never did. Macie, Maui and Mom September 2007 Update (excerpt from email)
"We have now had Maui, aka
Eric, for 5 months and the progress he has made is outstanding. Macie loves
her little brother most of the time, she is still standoffish but will play
with him and accepts him. Guess she decided he is here to stay. She has
always been a little standoffish so I guess that is to be expected.
We adore out little babies and have worked hard for them both to be social, happy and well behaved. I love reading about other Havanese as I consider it to be a most special breed. The first photo is of Maui on his first ride in the car to come home with us. Poor thing had to ride for 2 hours and got so sick. Thank you for the good work you do,"
