We have been really busy getting Frankie comfortable with our home and pets.  The cats don’t really pay too much attention to him, as they are very used to dogs.  He, however, is fascinated by them.  My son has decided that he is Frankie’s dad, and they sleep together at night.  Darwin (Nick’s cat), also sleeps in Nick’s room.  So far, everything is working out fine.  We do crate him at night and the one time we all went out yesterday.  He seems to be okay with this and we will continue this procedure until he is big enough to trust.  He will then be on the bed at night (probably Nick’s bed) and free to roam with Izzy the rest of the time.  Our schedules have worked out really well so far.  There has always been someone home for him, except yesterday when he was alone for about two hours.  But, no accidents! 

Izzy is playing with him and they eat together.  Izzy steals his chews, but that is all.  She is acclimating to him well. 

We decided to keep his name.  He seems to respond to it and John and Nick think it’s a good name.  He goes to the vet tomorrow, while Izzy is at the groomer’s.  When we pick up Izzy we will schedule her next appointment and include him.  I think this will be his first groomer appointment?  We will ask Peggy.  Anyway,I do not want to hit him with too much at one time, so maybe we will only schedule him for a bath.
