Krissy

This is the story of our little Ally (Kim to Halo).

First it might be helpful to share how my husband and I decided to get a puppy, for this we need to back up to Nov. 2008.

In Nov. we lost our six year old schnoodle (Maya) to a brain tumor.  We thought it would be a year or more before we even would look for another dog, we were just beyond devastated.

At this time we already had another dog, a peek-a-poo named Foster.

Foster is the main reason we first started looking for a new puppy. Foster completely stopped playing and literally wined all the time. He was so upset we knew we needed a new addition sooner than we thought.

After the way Maya died we wanted to help a puppy in need, to give a great life to another dog that we could no longer give to her.

So we looked awhile on the internet and found Halo...after the packet of paperwork, many calls, and several weeks of waiting we got our Ally!

We knew what we were getting into was serious when her first morning the mircowave beeped and she hid for ten mins.

We have now had her two months. Ally is still timid and is a ball of nerves from time to time but she is making great progress. She still has yet to have a break through moment with my husband, which is killing him.

He is always telling people how hard it is to want to cuddle something so badly to only have her stare funny at him back! However, now she happy more than not, loves going places, loves anything that has to do with water, and getting her belly rubbed. O and by the way, her and Foster have been side by side since the day we brought her home. They now stop playing only to eat and nap, and yes they do both of those together.

Looking back, Ally needed us just as much as the three of us needed her.

 God Bless and Cuddles,

Meg, Ryan, Foster, and Ally
