September 2008

Just wanted to give you the update on Milo (Halo's Baldwin). He's into his 4th week of puppy kindergarten and he's doing a fantastic job! He's such a fast learner and he's so well mannered. He walks very politely on leash and even off leash, he's very well behaved and plays nicely with the other puppies in his class. You'd be so proud of him!!

He's such a happy little boy too! I don't think I've never seen him sad or mope around the house. We're always playing as a family and when us older folks get tired and needs a rest, he quietly plays with his toys by himself. So energetic... he even tires out his big brother!

And they are so cute together. I haven't seen either one display alpha personality yet though. It's almost like they take turns being in charge. One day, Milo will be following Miko around and look to him for guidance, and the next, the roles will be reversed. It's so strange but they're so compatible and we all love each other very much.

Milo's even began sleeping in the bed with us and that's a sight to see as well! We have 4 pillows on the bed and Miko will be wedged between my 2 pillows and Milo will be wedged between Jacky's 2 pillows. And they dig and wedge into the pillows themselves! I've told my friends about how cute they are sleeping like that, and they all seem to think that Jacky and I strategically place them there. I've tried to take pictures of this but as soon as they hear the camera click on, they both get up to try to investigate what mommy has in her hands. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and they will be sleeping on top of each other!! Jacky and I have both fallen victim to their late night "running" dreams and have been woken up with a kick to the head though. We wake up, holding our heads, and just laugh at each other.

It's been a few months since we've had Milo but it's still so interested seeing our 2 boys play and interact with each other. Who needs TV when you can watch 2 Havanese playing and being as cute as they are? Sometimes, when Jacky and I do watch TV, the boys will be on our laps watching with us (and it's so cute because they actually watch the TV like they understand what's going on!).

We cannot thank you guys enough for helping us bring so much joy into our family. Miko's always been a joy but having Milo as an addition doubles the fun and laughter in our household. Jacky and I will be getting married May of 2009 and I'm hoping by that time, the boys will be trained enough to be our little ring bearers. Right now, both of them can't tolerate anything foreign on their back... except when they're extremely exhausted.
